MISSION AND PURPOSE
The Mission of Adobe Walls Wildland Fire Module is to develop and sustain a safe-operating, well trained, well-qualified and cohesive workforce that is adaptable, flexible and capable of meeting diverse fire and resource management objectives for the City of Borger, the State of Texas, and the National Fire Community at large.
The PURPOSE of the Adobe Walls Wildland Fire Module is to facilitate the use of fire and other management techniques involving planned and unplanned wildland fire events. WFMs are highly skilled and versatile fire crews, which provide technical and ecological based expertise in the areas of prescribed fire and wildfire response such as long-term planning, ignitions, holding, suppression, hazard fuels reduction, and fire effects monitoring; with an emphasis in fire fulfilling its natural or historic role to meet resource and management objectives.
