The Solid Waste Department is responsible for administering a comprehensive waste management system for the City of Borger.
This Department Manages:
- Residential Pickup
(Both curb and alley service) - Commercial Pickup
- Brush Pickup (Limited to 1 truck-bed load)
(Both curb and alley service) - The Transfer Station
- The Limb Pile
- The Bulk Refuse Self Help Program
The Transfer Station:
The Transfer Station is where the City of Borger’s refuse operations are centered, our drivers take trash here, and it is then transferred to our transporting trucks and taken to the Pampa landfill. Residents, contractors, etc., also bring their bulk items and refuse here for disposal. For items that are allowed and more information, please see "Transfer Station Use."
Residents are allowed to bring up to 1,000 lbs FREE per month. Beyond that, it is $51.50 per ton.
Our trash drivers do not pick up large items on their route, the refuse trucks are meant to pick up the dumpsters only. If you do not have a truck to take items to the Transfer Station or you need disposal outside the open hours, please use our bulk refuse self-help program to request a container at your residence free of charge.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM, and Saturday 8AM - 1PM
