Emergency Management

One of the most crucial responsibilities of the Office of Emergency Management is situational awareness and helping to keep the community notified of emergency situations.

This main page has two key features.  A feed from our City of Borger/Hutchinson County Facebook page, where local emergency and non-emergency announcements are made, and a link to our mass-notification registration system.  For more information on the mass-notification system, click the "Alert Registry" tab to the left.

The mass-notification system provides you with a way to receive notifications from the National Weather Service and from local officials for other types of information, such as significant highway closures, fires, boil water notifications, etc...  Residents can choose preferred options for receiving the alerts (email, phone, text).
